900kgs of rubbish was picked up in 2025 from beach, roadside and nearby reserve areas.
Supporting the environment is one of the seven areas of focus for Rotary.
Oreti Beach and Estuary area Clean up's have been a regular event on the projects calendar where all the Club's come together and work collaboratively,
The 2026 event is being coordinated by Rotary Club of Invercargill South and the location for the 2026 event is proposed as Oreti Beach area.
This environmental project event is open to everyone and anyone.
What is Required; Gloves, sturdy footwear, sun hat and sunblock and / or wet weather gear, drink bottle. A Rotary Hi Viz Vest will be allocated on the day at the start point.
