Hospice Southland

Pete Thompson is the Chief Executive of Hospice Southland, supporting the organisation’s work across Southland and Whakatipu.

 

He previously served as Chief Executive of YMCA Southland and is also a board member of ILT Stadium Southland and chairman of the Southland Community Broadcasters Charitable Trust.

 

Pete has a strong interest in leadership, community engagement and creating organisations where people can do their best work.

 

Outside of his working life, he runs TOA Fighting Systems, coaching kickboxing and karate and enjoys sport shooting and eating his wife’s cooking.

 

He is passionate about people, purpose and place and about contributing to strong, connected communities.
