It was another Rotary focused week with a director's meeting on Monday and a president's meeting on Tuesday.
It was at this president's meeting that Karen Purdue presented on the new District 9999. Information for all of us as District members will be circulated with this topic being a club forum agenda item for November 9.
I had the pleasure of connecting with some of our Inner Wheel ladies by attending their meeting on Wednesday night and on Thursday night I attended the function hosted by the North Club for Trish Boyle's award presentation.
And yesterday, Camryn and I helped Stuart deliver a couple of loads of firewood. Thank you to members who helped with trailers and deliveries. Special mention to Ross for co-ordinating this project to another level for our community.
Read on below to find out why you should be marking your calendars on October 28 to be part of a culinary "fun"draiser.
I look forward to sharing our membership growth goals that were set at Tuesday's forum and progressing the conversations into starting our action plan.
The Rotary Foundation Distinguished Service Award honors up to 50 Rotarians who have demonstrated exemplary service to the Foundation. North Club Rotary member Trish Boyle was honoured with the Service Above Self Award in October.
This week District Governor Nick Wood handed five "club" babies over to President Lisa aka our five pumpkin seedlings for club to take part in the Pumpkins for Polio project.
