The follow-on project from the Rotary Dream Home, to establish two units for the Breathing Space Southland Trust (BSST) is on the home straight to completion.

Each of the 5 Rotary Clubs, lead by their project committee member, has been co-ordinating different aspects of the final stages to completion of the units.

A working bee is scheduled for Saturday 19th October.

Sunrise Club are poised to start painting the units on 22 October.  Following on from laying bark chips, North Club are on track to complete the tree and shrub planting.

Club Member Ross has been working alongside DG Dave to complete the decking, steps and foundation cladding.

This next working Bee will focus on a site clean up and  lawn mowing.  If you have not been along to check out the units - why not pop along and lend a hand.

The two self-contained units in Conyers St are on a section with a 10 year "peppercorn" lease arranged by Rotary.

Breathing Space Southland Trust (BSST), set up in 2013,  assists with short term (maximum 7nights) accommodation via a vetted referral process.  BSST also supports  with connections to wrap-a-round support / programmes for those who meet the referral criteria.
