Tuesday 26th is the annual pre-parade float working bee - Can you help? .

In lieu of of the Tuesday lunch meeting (November 26) we are asking members to support the our annual working bee to assist the Santa Parade Team with final preparation for Parade Day on November 30.

The working bee involves a final check over and cleaning of floats to ensure they are looking their best for parade day.  Additional tasks may include cleaning, painting or other general parade prep so please dress accordingly.

There is an informal fish and chip tea following the working bee.

Parade Day is Saturday 30th November, helpers are still required for on Parade Day - If you are available or know of someone that might like to get involved and help out with one of these tasks - please contact Alice directly on 027 228 9693

  • Picking up toilets and setting up water/drinks stations 9.30am and 10.30 am – two people with a towing vehicle
  • Costume fittings – two people from 10 am to 4 pm (with break between 2-3pm when parade is on) 
  • Two people to be available to help with 'troubleshooting' on floats once they are parked from 12 noon.
  • Help is required with parade placement numbers 8 am
  • Gala day food stall placement pegs, road direction signs – 10 am or before – two people
  • Road directions after the parade and getting floats onto the Gala Street Reserve – five people
