The countdown is on to the 2025 Santa Parade

The 2025 Santa parade is all set for Saturday, 29th November.

Club Member Alice Pottinger, along with Ross Wensley, have co-ordinated the annual Christmas parade for the past 10+ years, of the Southland Santa Parade's 25+-year history.

Aligned with our RI Theme, Club members are asked to Unite for Good and once again undertake hands-on support for the Santa Parade.

With no lunch meeting on Tuesday 25th November, members are asked to re-purpose their Tuesday Rotary time to help with the working bee on the floats.

This working bee is where the Santa Parade floats are given a final check over to ensure they are looking their best for parade day.   If you can help out head out to 360 West Plains Road from 5.30pm to 7pm.  Tasks may include cleaning of floats, painting or fixing some final Christmas cheer to a float or other general parade prep so please dress accordingly.

If you or you know of someone that might like to get involved with the parade on the day (29th November) there are still opportunities to be involved.

The Parade Team are on the lookout for further support for drivers to tow the floats and some other tasks - if you can help or know someone who can please contact Alice Pottinger on 027 2289693 or Ross Wensley on 021 333363.

President Michael is co-ordinating a sausage sizzle after the parade on the Gala Street reserve and would appreciate some help with setting up of our Club gazebo and seating, food prep and serving - if you can assist please contact Michael directly on 021 529 581.
