Applications are are now open Rotary Young Leaders Awards (RYLA ) 2026.

Our club is looking for nominations to sponsor a future community leader to attend.

RYLA is a leadership recognition programme to develop skills to become the leaders of tomorrow

The RYLA Leadership Programme is a transformative experience designed to develop leadership, self-awareness, and a sense of community in young people. It’s not just about learning leadership — it’s about living it. Participants are immersed in a dynamic, supportive environment where they are challenged, inspired, and empowered.

The RYLA programme is designed to inspire personal growth, encourage initiative, and build self-responsibility, all within an environment that values self-reflection, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.
RYLA is for aspiring leaders who already demonstrates leadership potential, or those already in leadership roles. We seek candidates who exhibit initiative and personal accountability, with a readiness to fully engage in the programme | A growth mindset and a genuine openness to learning and self-development | A strong interest in community service and making a positive impact.

 

There are two RYLA camps to choose from:

Queenstown  | Sunday 1 February - Friday 6 February 2026
Cost: $1,100pp (Clubs are GST exempt) | $1,100pp (Plus GST) for Corporates
Age: 20-30 years old

Christchurch | Sunday 18 January - Thursday 22 January 2026
Cost: $1,175pp (Clubs are GST exempt) | $1,175pp (Plus GST) for Corporates
Age: 18-25 years old

To take part, individuals can apply personally, Rotary Clubs can nominate and/or sponsor a participant and corporates can sponsor an employee.

The programme recognises, encourages and educates current and future leaders through seminars, activities, group discussions and interactions with other like-minded young leaders, from all walks of life.  For many, the RYLA Programme is life changing.
