Raffle Tickets arrive this week supporting The Grace Street Project.

Tickets for the Southland Rotary Raffle are expected to be distributed at Tuesday’s meeting.

This raffle is another important layer of collaboration between the nine Southland Rotary Clubs, working together to Unite for Good and raise funds for The Grace Street Project. It also aligns with our community partnership with Placemakers, who are supporting the Southern Scooter Challenge, another major fundraiser for the project.

All members are being asked to support the raffle by:

  • Selling tickets through your personal networks, family, friends, colleagues, and wider community connections
  • Volunteering time at the Grace Street information stand in the Mall to help sell tickets to the public

If you are unable to attend Tuesday’s meeting, Lisa‑Maree will contact you directly to arrange delivery of a couple of books of tickets so you can get started.

The Grace Street Project will transform South Invercargill with a hub designed for connection, opportunity, and growth.
More than a building, it will be a multigenerational community space where people can connect, create, learn, and access support.

Our Club has already contributed $25,000 from the 2024 Book Sale toward Stage 1 of the project.

Rotary’s hands‑on support for the Southern Scooter Challenge is being shared across the Southland Clubs. Volunteer roles include:

Pre‑Event Registration (20 March, 3–6pm)

  • Set‑up
  • Assist with registrations
  • Hand out info packs and scooter stickers

Start Line Support (21 March, Teretonga)

  • Assist as required at the event start

Donation Collection

  • Bucket collections before, during, and after the event

Finish Line Support (Te Anau)

  • Te Anau Club leading
  • Set‑up and scooter parking coordination

Prizegiving & Finish Event Support

  • Assist with raffle/auction logistics
  • Support speeches and crowd engagement

Support Vehicle

  • One trailer‑equipped vehicle needed for breakdowns and scooter transfers
