The Race Day crowd with new Club President Michael after a big finish

Our Rotary Club President Changeover 2024 coincided with the Melbourne Cup, which provided an ideal platform for a new theme.

After the big race, President Chami spoke to her time as president.  Showcasing all the organizations and events we have supported, the hours of volunteer work, and fundraising through photos.  Chami reflected our 100th Year project and celebrations and Rotary connections locally, nationally and internationally.  Chami enjoyed welcoming new members, Arsalan, Heather and Karen but also took a moment to remember those members no longer with us.  Chami acknowledged the support of Club Directors.

Hayley and the team from the Kelvin worked their magic to turn Level 6 into the perfect setting for an afternoon at the Races. The Melbourne Cup Race was on the big screen live with Soc and Janna in charge of a separate sweepstake made available to attendees.

President Michael thanked Chami for all of her commitment and achievements in her time and was looking forward to working Chami and the Directors in his time as President.  Michael shared details on what fills his time outside of Rotary and that he looks forward to working with members on new projects and continuing the support to the community.
