The Magic of Rotary
New President for Invercargill North, Sonya Chalmers poses with DGE Dave's wife Margaret at their changeover this week.
Kia ora koutou,
We are coming to the end of another year of Rotary with the Invercargill club changeovers being carried out this week. Michael has been kind enough to attend most of them, after all, he is our incoming president! I was able to attend the Rotary Club of Invercargill North changeover last night at the Kelvin with Michael, and celebrated their successes with them.
Rotary 2024/25 year is themed "The Magic of Rotary" and incoming President Stephanie Urchick, explains how she sees the magic of rotary unfolding during her presidential year.
You can watch her speech on video and read the article here.
I'm looking forward to the District Governor Changeover on 29 June in Dunedin - it will be magic!
We are looking to confirm the date for the final working bee at Omaui. The project has been progressing in the background with the community collaboration ongoing with Corrections, who are now working on the project. Corrections have been compacting the gravel tracks shifting gravel to locations ready for us to spread out.
Also, please mark your calendar and note that the 9th July Club Forum will be at a different location. We are looking to meet on site at the Grace Street Project to look around the building to be re-purposed. The donation from the Book Sale is proposed to be presented at this visit. Watch out for more details on this in next week's bulletin.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
