We need volunteers to support Daffodil Day on Friday 30 August
Kia ora members,
The Club Directors and I met last week for the director's meeting and revisited the Rotary Projects for our club for 2024/25 year. I will email through the updated table as this will give you an idea of what we are planning for the year.
We also discussed our changeover date and set this for Tuesday 05 November. President elect Michael B and I will be in touch with more details as the plans start to firm up.
Community Projects Director, Helen Cook is still looking for volunteers for Daffodil Day Collections. Helen will be calling club members to see who can help but she urgently needs to fill the morning spots. Family and friends are also welcome to help us, so if you or someone you know can help us with this, please get in touch with Helen. I've included a little video to the '1-in-3 Could be me campaign' the Cancer Society is running for this years collection drive.

Calling All Reader Writers
Trish Lindsay is still looking for more Reader Writers for Southland Girls’ High School exams on each of the days below. Remember, everyone in our club can support this programme. In simple terms - you need to be able to 1) read the exam question to the student and 2) write down the exam answer the student tells you. This will vary a bit depending on each student’s needs.
Tuesday 5 November
Thursday 7 November
Friday 8 November
Tuesday 12 November
Wednesday 13 November
Thursday 14 November
Times to be confirmed but the exams are 2-3 hours long. Please send trish.lindsay@sit.ac.nz an email with the days you can help.
Reminders:
- Formal lunch meeting - 20 August Level 6 - Guest Speaker Karen Purdue
- Host A Roast Fundraiser - Helen McCurdy's place on Sunday 25 August
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
