Hello fellow club members
I am writing this from the tropical town of Port Douglas in Queensland where we are relaxing in temperatures in the late 20s.

At our meeting last Tuesday, we had the pleasure of hosting Peter and Christine from the Jubilee Budget Advisory service, where Peter gave a presentation on all of the great community work that they do.
It became evident during Peters presentation that Jubilee offer far more than just budgetary advice, and it extends to that of being counsellors, offering hope, trust and guidance to those people that have found themselves in a desperate financial situation, and Jubilee give those affected a pathway forward to a better life.
I was honored on behalf of our club to make a donation of $25,000 to the Jubilee Budget Advisory service who are the major recipient of our book sale fundraiser held over Kings birthday weekend.
This donation was the culmination of 12 months’ work by many people, and my sincere thanks goes out to all club members, family, friends and community participants, who helped with voluntary hours which all went toward making this donation possible.
Our club is extremely grateful to all of those who participated in some way, and to the members of the public who supported the book sale and purchased books, games puzzles, CDs and records, we are also very grateful to you and humbled by your support, thank you.
Planning for the 2026 book sale is now underway.
Our next meeting is on 15th July, and our guest speaker will be Bobbi Brown - Great South
Have a good week ahead.
Kind regards,
Michael.
