Hello fellow Rotarians

The week has flown by and while we did not have a formal meeting this week it was great to catchup with a few of you at the Santa parade working bee Tuesday evening, where the floats were cleaned and had a good general tidy up ready for the parade on Saturday.

All of the floats look very impressive stored at their new home in the West plains Tulip farm shed, and a special thank you must go out to Ross and Alice for their hard work on the Santa parade and also Ross for towing and relocating the floats to the new storage shed.
Thank you to all of you that came on Tuesday night for the working bee, it was a good team effort and I enjoyed the fish and chip tea that Lisa-Maree organised🙂.

This week I have been conducting the interviews for the RYLA event in Queenstown, and it has been a real pleasure to interview three exceptional young candidates and we will know by the 1st December if they have been accepted into the programme.

We held our directors meeting on Monday night and I will circulate the key points from our meeting once the minutes are available.

At our formal meeting on Tuesday, we have our guest speaker Dean Addie from the T4 group and I will also have the honor of inducting our newest member Hemal Amarasekara.

We are collecting non-perishable goods for the Presbyterian Support Services Christmas hamper, and these can be dropped off at the Great South Office in Spey Street or at our lunch meeting on Tuesday.

On the 17th December we have our final Rotary gathering for the 2024 year with a special Christmas lunch and an invitation is extended to your families and I would love to see you all there if you can make it.

If I don't see you at the Santa parade, have a nice weekend and all the best.

Michael
