Help needed to put these roof tiles into storage - Thursday 27th March
Community Director Helen Cook has sent out a request by email for some help with an urgent task at Conyers Street Units site.
Part I of the project was to move a pile of roof tiles sitting on the section in Conyers Street, where the Breathing Space units are located.
Club Member Ross has organised the roof tiles being moved off the site and we are now looking for 'People of Action' to come along for an hour on Thursday at 6pm to move the roof tiles into the basement of the neighbouring property.
Part II of the project is to re-purpose the bricks, donated by the property owner, in the picture above to create a small patio area in the corner of the property as pictured below.

Lawn clippings in corner of section need to be raked up and bagged and removed from section.
Patio preparation - ground needs to be leveled, weed matted and sand create a bed to lay the bricks, with timber framing for edging.
If you are keen to be involved can help out for an hour on Thursday - please contact Helen on 027 310 8587 to confirm you can come and what items you can bring along.
If you cant assist on Thursday but keen to support the patio preparation aspect of project please contact Helen to discuss the day / time for Part II.
The units in Conyers Street have been established for the use of Breathing Space Southland Charitable Trust (BSSCT) for temporary accommodation for clients who meet the Trust's referral criteria.
The units project was a follow on Rotary project following the sale of the Rotary Dream Home in 2018. A committee made up of representatives of each Rotary Club have been working on the unit project over the recent years. The units are almost complete awaiting final sign off from the Council.
