We need another name or two to help out on Friday 29th August
Community Club Director, Helen Cook is needing a couple more people to help out on Friday 29th August to assist for an hour on the stand supporting the Cancer Society with their annual Daffodil Day fundraising appeal.
All that is required is to greet people and collect donations at the site at Ascot 4 Square, 698 Tay Street, Invercargill. Two people are required on the collection stand at all times to meet H & S requirements so if you can help out for an hour and have a friend, work colleague or family member that can come with you too - please let Helen know.
Helen can be contacted on email: helencook697@gmail.com or on cellphone: 027-310-8587.
Funds raised will help cancer patients and their families / whānau get the care and practical support they need; from crucial help getting to treatment via the free driving service, through to specialist nursing and psychology support, and accommodation for those needing life-saving treatment far from home.
The Rotary Club of Invercargill has had an ongoing Community Partnership with the Cancer Society for a number of years, supporting Relay for Life events, Daffodil Day collecting and the local division was our major recipient of the 2019 Book Sale proceeds.
