This corner of Queens Park has concrete evidence of a number of Rotary projects over our 100 years
The paddling pool at Queens Park that our Club built in 1953.

Senga White shared snippets of Queens Park history with members at our last meeting, as Guest speaker.

Our Club has a long history of its own with Queens Park, with our 50th and 75th Club History booklets referencing our Club building the children's paddling pool in 1953.

In 1955 the Club added the jungle gym for the jubilee of Rotary international.

Members gave up several Saturday mornings in 1963 to construct a shelter for the corner - used as changing rooms.

Foundation Club Member JB Thompson also bequeathed a sum of money for the Peter Pan statue. JB Thomson, circled in image below, had his occupation noted as carbonated waters.

Do you know of our Club connections with this statue on the edge of Queens Park ?

We will be sharing more on this in an upcoming bulletin.
