Another invitation to ‘Unite for Good’ for our Community

As advised at recent meeting(s) , our Club is collaborating with Invercargill Clubs for the upcoming Halloween in the Park 2025.

The event, previously hosted by the Rotary Club of North, has grown into one of Invercargill’s most anticipated family celebrations, prompting a collaborative effort among local Rotary clubs to ensure its continued success.

This year’s spooky festivities will unfold in the enchanting stumpery beside the Blind Low Vision Centre, Queens Drive, Friday, 31st October from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. The event is free and open to the public, offering a family orientated evening filled with games, art stations, costume prizes, sweets, and a sausage sizzle— with a spooky theme.

Club Directors approved a $300 financial contribution toward event costs and the Club is to support ‘hands on’ by coordinating one of the evening’s activities.

Under the leadership of Community Director Helen Cook, we’ll be running a spooky sensory experience—a roped-off area where participants will use their senses to explore mysterious textures and sounds.

Helen is still seeking a few more helping hands to assist with setup, supervision, and pack-down.

Whether you’re a Halloween enthusiast or simply available for a short time, your support would be greatly appreciated. Here’s how you can help:

  • Gazebo Setup – 5:00pm (20mins)
  • Activity Setup – 5:00pm (45mins)
  • Activity Supervision – 6:00pm to 8:30pm
  • Pack-down – 8:30pm (30mins)

This event is more than just spooky fun— it’s a meaningful way to Unite for Good as a Club, with other Clubs and strengthen our Club’s historic ties to Queens Park, especially those rooted in supporting children and families.

If you’re able to lend a hand or would like more details, please contact Helen at helencook697@gmail.com or 027-310-8587.
