The Countdown is on for the 2026 Book Sale Event that will be the Club’s 45th Book Sale.
The major recipient for the 2026 proceeds is Ngā Kete Mātauranga Pounamu Charitable Trust (NKMP)

Tracey Wright Tawha (NKMP CEO) was delighted to receive the news NKMP is to be the major recipient for the 2026 event.
Funds raised through the book sale will directly contribute to Ngā Kete’s programmes and services, enabling the organisation to further strengthen its support for the community.

Richard King has headed up the sorting once again and has clocked up massive hours amongst the books and boxes.
Richard has confirmed that once again the 2026 event will have high quality books. Richard has noted an increased choice in the motor vehicles section and the choice of war related books will be the biggest he has seen in his time.

Books continue to flow into the Scottish Hall, thanks to all the members who have been doing pick ups and drops offs.
Thanks to all the members who have put in some time to help with the sorting and displaying of books - if you can help out for an hour - please contact Richard Russell to discuss times a committee member will be at the Scottish Hall for access.
Advertising of the event has continued on the traditional platforms with new ways to connect the event with our community always being explored.
A display has been set up in Invercargill Central with details on the event, some books and a chair with a beautiful backdrop of books re-purposed into an art piece kindly loaned by Arts Murihiku.
There has been more than boxes of books arriving at the Scottish Hall with a special donation of a cap collection being made by a local family to be sold at this years event - more details on this to follow.
