The 2024 Zone 8 Conference is to be held in Queenstown, November 1-3, 2024
 
The theme for the 2024 Zone 8 Conference is Dream, Dare, Deliver. 
 
Where:      Queenstown (Rydges Hotel - 38-54 Lake Esplanade)
 
When:       Thursday 1st November to Sunday 3rd November (Thursday - Golf Day)

FRIDAY 1st November

8:00am to 5:00pm    Registration Desk open
8.30am to 11.30am  Rotary AGM’s for those required
12:00pm to 2:00pm  District Governor Forum for those attending
11.00am to 2:00pm  COL Training – Online
2:00pm to 3.30pm    Business Session ran by PDG Tony Monley
3:30pm to 4:00pm    Rotary Regional Council AGM for those attending
5:00pm to 6:30pm    Official Zone 8 Conference Opening with Guest speaker
7:00pm onwards      Group Dinners in & around Queenstown

SATURDAY 2nd November

8:00am to 10:30am  Registration & Help Desk open
8:00am to 4:00pm    Rotary Expo area open
9:00am to 4:00pm    Conference Day One commences
                                 Morning Tea & Lunch provided
                                 Choice of 3 options of doing something in local community
5:30pm 6:30pm        Rotary Foundation Donor Cocktail event, by invitation only
7:00pm to 11.30pm  Gala dinner with entertainment & dancing.  Theme “Wish upon a Star”

SUNDAY 3rd November

8:30am to 11:30am  Rotary Expo area open
9:30am to 1:00pm    Conference Day Two commences
                                 Morning Tea only provided
1:00pm                     Zone 8 Conference Concludes
 
Saturday afternoon options from 2pm to 4pm:

Option 1:             Adopt a Plot

Head up the Queenstown Gondola for 2 hours to weed a plot. (Amazing views while working)
Need to semi-fit & active as a 15 minute walk in & then have to take out weeds
Please note an additional cost to go up Gondola, but one of Queenstown’s best attractions
 
Option 2:             Trip to visit Kiwi Harvest & pack food parcels
Kiwi Harvest rescue food from Hotels & Cafes, plus pack food parcel boxes
Board a bus out to Frankton to see operation & pack some boxes for local community
 
Option 3:             Woman’s Refuge Bags + Polio Walk
Start with helping to pack handbags for Woman’s Refuge
After completing project, Walk for Polio around Queenstown Gardens
