Speakers topics
Trish and Natasha are coordinating guest speakers for the Club. They are keen to introduce some themes and invite more than one speaker on same or similar topic. If you have suggestions or contact details for a speaker you can share with Trish or Natasha - please email them to:

Members also discussed the concept of having the 4th week September (27th) social meeting after 5pm where all the mayoral candidates could be invited along.
President Ria to check with other Club Presidents if they all doing their own thing or if we should join to do all together.
Membership
Ria - reiterated the new theme for the 19/20 year "Rotary connects the world
More engagement with family members welcomed and encouraged
Resurrecting kids meeting twice a year was proposed
New generation path(s) required - previously Year 13 students from schools invited
Membership application process and documentation is under review by Directors
Future Club Forum Topics
Suggestion that current affairs topics can be proposed as an agenda item for a Forum
Fireside forums can be run again - concept is social / evening event with topics
Needs someone to co-ordinate - let Lisa-Maree know if you keen to organise for club
2020 Exchange Student
Student from Chile proposed to be shared with South Club (Jan 2020)
Shared arrangement is we provide 2 hosts and counsellor
If any members are interested in hosting or being a counsellor - please liaise with President Ria

CareerFest gives the six Rotary Clubs in Invercargill the opportunity to work together to profile Rotary’s image, undertake a joint community project focusing on vocational and youth, as well gives us a window of opportunity to advertise the Rotary Youth Exchange programme, and promote our service clubs to the general community.
Can you help? Club volunteers are required to 'man' the Rotary Stand over the two days. If you have an hour or two to help out - Please contact President Ria directly on 021 396 291.
