From the Editor:
Hi everyone - apologies for the delay in getting this bulletin out to you.
So much has happened over the past 2 weeks.
As a family we have been learning how to overcome our own small scale logistic challenges with setting up a makeshift school classroom , resetting a very paper based office from home and an essential worker moving to shift work.
Hope this bulletin finds everyone safe, well and doing ok in their bubble(s).
With some of our usual structure of the Club meetings being changed - I thought we could take an opportunistic approach to what has become an ever changing situation around us and also enjoy some change to the 'usual' bulletin structure for a few weeks.
If you would like to contribute an article, a photo or something else that is in the spirit of Rotary, that our Club members might enjoy, please email to me: lmfkjs@xtra.co.nz.
In this bulletin
- big congrats to our Club's newest Paul Harris Fellow - Craig Smith
- the new normal of 'zoom' meetings becoming an everyday occurance.
- get a glimpse of some of your Club Directors in lockdown isolation

Take care out there

Congratulations 'shout out' to Craig Smith on a PHF
President Ria presented Craig Smith with a Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) on Tuesday 17th March, our last formal meeting. Well done Craig - well deserved!

How is the 'new normal' looking so far?
Here are some snaps of some of your Directors in lockdown isolation. We hope to bring you some more images of other Directors in our next bulletin. We would love to also share some snaps of members and what you have been doing in your 'bubble(s)'.
Please send your photos by email to: lmfkjs@xtra.co.nz or via FB Messenger or via text to 027 2304 611.

What is Zoom?:
Zoom is a cloud based internet platform for video and audio conferencing / chat calls. Many businesses, groups and individuals are using for face to face meetings as an alternative for not being able to meet in person. The growth in popularity has escalated with the COVID19 lockdown and becoming part of the 'new normal' for many in business life.
Rotary at a District level are using this zoom platform for connection across the District with regular evening chat sessions you can drop in and out of.
Zoom or a similar internet platform could be an option for our Club Meetings.
Tonight (Friday 3rd April) was scheduled to be our 1st friday of the month drinks so we thought this maybe a great place to trial seeing if / how we could use zoom as a club for those who can / want to access. Below are the basic details for tonight. A seperate Club Runner email will be sent out this afternoon with further detailed instructions on how to use / access Zoom for those who would like to learn and participate tonight.
