Greenlight Innovations, an Invercargill based charity with a kaupapa of strengthening the community by running community events.
One such event is TEDxinvercargill.
TEDx, a global movement devoted to bringing Ideas Worth Spreading independently-organized TED-like events intended to inspire conversation, prompt innovation and create connections centred on ideas important to community.

Strategic Planning  - Tuesday 14th July  - 12.15pm 

Make sure your thoughts are included in the strategic planning discussions at the 14th July Forum:

 1 – Determine our current status (How is our club going now?)

 2 – Develop our vision (What do we want the club to look like?)

 3 – Make a plan (How are we going to achieve our vision?)

 4 – Track our progress (How close are we to achieving our goals?)

Have your thoughts, ideas and initiatives ready for the 14th.  If you are unable to attend the meeting, complete the template as emailed and send to Kieran prior to the meeting by email:  Kieran.middleton@mcp.co.nz or drop into 20 Don street.

Community Firewood Project - Can you help?
Saturday 11th July & 18th July 9.30am to 12.30pm
We have sourced some donated trees that need chopping and we are working with Awarua Whanau Services to get some firewood into some homes to help some families that need it this winter.
 
We need:
- volunteers with a chainsaw / chainsaw safety gear 
- Firewood stacking skills
- Trailer loan or towing of trailer

Street Smart - Volunteers needed!
Street Smart is a driving programme that equips young Kiwis with the tools needed to help be a safer and more aware driver on our roads.  Organisers are looking for volunteers to fill the below positions:
 
3 x coaches – Online Quiz, Fuel Efficiency and Vehicle Maintenance exercises
2 x control drivers – Following Too Close and Head On Collision exercises
(will be aided by trained trainers and will be demonstration drivers only) 
 
Saturday 18 July 2020 – 7.30am to 4.30pm  -Teratonga Park
Sunday 19 July 2020 – 8.00am to 4.30pm -Teratonga Park
