Can you lend a hand on Sunday 5th October?
Over the past few weeks, Club volunteers have helped deliver firewood as part of a community collaboration project with Department of Corrections and Jubilee and now we are asking for volunteers to help with a trailer load of books.
A new connection within our wider community of Southland — Otautau has progressed from conversations to a donation of books. The Otautau Museum’s has held an annual book sale as a fundraiser for many years. Due to venue changes and storage issues, the museum has decided to discontinue the event with their 2025 event finishing today being their final one. They are donating their remaining books to us for our 2026 event.
Volunteer help needed:
President Michael will tow the trailer and lead the book pickup.
Additional help is needed to load the boxes in Otautau and then unload in Invercargill.
