South Club taking the lead on the Beach Clean Up

President Michael and Lisa-Maree Fleck, alongside Ian and Paula Kilsby represented the Rotary Club of Invercargill on 29 March for the annual Rotary Beach Clean-Up. This year, there was less rubbish to be collected which President Michael believes could be attributed to more responsible beach goers.

The Beach Clean-Up is an important event on the Rotary Calendar as it aligns with supporting the environment - one of the seven areas of focus for Rotary, one our club supports regularly. The Oreti Beach and Estuary area clean up's have been a regular feature as a collaborative project supported by all clubs in our city.

The 2026 event was coordinated by Rotary Club of Invercargill South
